Full list of banned and prohibited items as Leeds Festival 2026 -including rules on camping stoves and BBQs

Fireworks, skateboards, air horns, and drones are among the banned items this year ❌

Music lovers preparing to head to Leeds Festival this week are being reminded not to bring any prohibited items with them.

With just a couple of days to go before festivalgoers flock to Bramham Park, you might be in the process of packing your bags as the excitement builds. However, festivalgoers will want to make sure they are not accidentally bringing anything from the banned list and potentially risk ruining their weekend.

Charli XCX, Dave, Chase and Status, Fontaines DC, Florence and the Machine, and Raye are the headline acts for this year’s edition of the long-running event. The main acts will be taking to the stage across Friday (August 28), Saturday (August 29), and Sunday (August 30).

Leeds’ sister festival in Reading has made a huge decision around camping stoves. On Instagram the official account wrote: “Camping stoves are still permitted in Leeds as per our website guidelines. Disposable bbqs are not permitted at either festival.”

But what items are banned from Leeds Festival? Here’s all you need to know:

Leeds Festival advises that while it does not have bag restrictions for first time entry to the campsite, campers should pack “as light as possible”.

On its website, the organisers add: “We strongly advise you do not bring a bag into the Arena as there will be long queues while all bags are searched.

“You and your bag maybe subject to a search upon entering the campsites and arena. CCTV is in operation throughout the festival site.

“Please be patient if there are longer queues than normal. We request that you cooperate with any security requests and searches.”
