With events having taken place since the start of the week, tomorrow afternoon’s grand finale at Aintree is an affair where even those tight-fisted with money let loose a little and have a (responsible) flutter.
The big moment in the horse racing calendar is set to take place at 1:30pm on Saturday (April 11), with this year’s favourite currently I Am Maximus - their second year in a row considered the bookies’ big tip and a champion back in 2024.
The 10-year-old is looking to be part of an elite group of horses that have won the Grand National twice.
While you’re collecting the office sweepstakes today, though, and keeping an eye on the weather, the event is also a great reason to get together with friends or colleagues and head out into Leeds for a civilised afternoon of entertainment.
So, where in Leeds is showing the Grand National this year?
Here are nine locations dotted around the city that have either confirmed they will be showing it or have historically screened the big race on their TV sets.
Good luck - and when the fun stops, stop.

1. Rita’s Beerhall and Ballroom
Rita's boasts that they're showing this year's race on their massive 135" television screens, and due to the popularity of the event in previous years, bookings are highly recommended to be made at this trendy beer hall. 🐎 43 Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3HQ | Rita’s Beerhall and Ballroom
