A total of 16 choirs took part in a fundraising Christmas ‘choir-athon’ at the Trinity Leeds shopping centre on Friday and Saturday. The event was held in aid of St Vincent’s, a charity that works to help people living in poverty across Leeds.

Generous groups entertaining Christmas shoppers and centre staff over the two days included Lucy’s Pop Choir and Leeds Philharmonic Chorus, with youngsters from schools including Richmond House in Far Headingley and St Paul’s Primary in Alwoodley also singing their hearts out during the choral extravaganza. Based near Leeds Irish Centre off York Road in east Leeds, St Vincent’s offers free debt advice as well as counselling, learning, volunteering and training services.
