International Women's Day is being celebrated through many different events throughout the city.
There are many events happening this week in the city to celebrate International Women's Day.
From films and tech workshops to theatre and free yoga, these are ten ways to celebrate International Women's Day in Leeds which takes places every year on March 8.
Thabitha Khumalo, a founder member of the Movement for Democratic Change in Zimbabwe will kick off the IWD celebrations the evening before on March 7. She will address members of Unite's Leeds University branch.
Following on from her portrayal of Juliet in the playhouse's recent production of Romeo and Juliet, Tessa Parr takes on the title roll in this modern retelling of Shakespeare's classic play which runs until March 30.
Leeds Libraries invite all, but especially women and girls, hoping to try creative tech to join them on Thursday 7. Guests can browse the Empowering Women booklist, make their female icon into a moving robot and have a go at VR.
Join senior yoga teacher Angela Sykes on March 7 for a free class.
