Chelsea Dagger stars The Fratellis to headline Wakefield's first outdoor concert series this summer
The Fratellis have been announced as the latest headliner for Live at Tileyard North, a new series of outdoor concerts taking place in Wakefield this summer.
Live at Tileyard North will bring Wakefield’s first outdoor concert series to life with two weeks of incredible outdoor live music.
The indie icons will be performing in the city on Friday, August 28, celebrating 20 years of their iconic debut album ‘Costello Music’ alongside a stacked bill of their noughties indies luminaries.

The Fratellis debut album ‘Costello Music’ (2006) mixed flam rock, stripped-down acoustics and Class of 1977 punk delivering two of the decades most iconic sing-along anthems in ‘Chelsea Dagger’ and ‘Whistle For The Choir’.
Made up of vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli and drummer Mince Fratelli, all sharing a pseudonym in tribute to their punk heroes, the Scottish trio have been one Britain’s most-loved indie bands since they broke through 20 years ago.
Joining them is a full line-up of indie heroes including The Twang, The Subways and The Cheap Thrills.
The Fratellis are the latest announcement for this summer’s Live at Tileyard North with fellow headliners the Vaccines performing their 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? in full to celebrate 15 years since its release on Sunday, August 30.
Ocean Colour Scene will be performing on Saturday, August 29, The Stranglers on August 21 and Sophie Ellis Bextor on Thursday, August 27. Postcode pre-sale for residents local to Tileyard North (WF1, WF2, WF3, WF4, WF5, WF6) will open at 10am on Wednesday, February 25 here.
