Everyone seems to be talking about ITV’s brand new drama, Finding Alice.

The show, which first aired on Sunday 17 January, follows a woman dealing with intense grief after her husband suddenly dies.

Who stars in Finding Alice?

Keeley Hawes

Hawes is not one to shy away from the big screen, and fans may recognise the actress from other renowned TV shows, such as Bodyguard, Honour and Line of Duty.

Her character, a mum-of-one, is plunged into grief, secrets, and suspicion after she finds her husband dead at the bottom of the stairs on their first night in their new smart house.

After that, her life seems to spiral out of control.

Joanna Lumley

Joanna Lumley is an absolute veteran on the British TV scene, and she’s best known for her role as Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous.

She also featured in Hollywood blockbusters The Wolf of Wall Street, The New Avengers and Me Before You.

In Finding Alice, Lumley plays Sarah Dillion - Alice’s mother. Viewers see how she is hard on her daughter throughout the series.

Nigel Havers

Playing Alice’s dad and Sarah’s husband, ex-solicitor Roger, is Nigel Havers.

Alice turns to Roger for help after she makes the grim discovery that her husband is dead.

You may recognise the actor from shows Coronation Street and Benidorm - and he also received awards for his role in the 1981 historical drama film Chariots of Fire.

Jason Merrells

Jason Merrells is Alice’s late husband, Harry, but viewers don’t know too much about him before his untimely death.

As the series progresses, Alice finds out more and more secrets about her husband.

Merrells has been a regular on British soaps throughout the years, appearing in Casualty, Emmerdale and Waterloo Road.

You’ll also recognise him from Endeavour and Midsomer Murders.

Gemma Jones

Jones is Minnie Walsh, Harry’s mum and Alice’s mother-in-law.

Minnie is a people pleaser - before her son dies and her character totally changes.

Bridget Jones fans will recognise the actress as playing Bridget’s mum in the movies.

She’s also featured in the Harry Potter films, and Sense and Sensibility.

Kenneth Cranham

Step up Kenneth Cranham, who plays Gerry Walsh, husband to Minnie and father to Harry.

The character is a neurotic, former entrepreneur obsessed with business.

Cranham has appeared in many TV shows and films over his long career, including Layer Cake, Bancroft and Hatton Garden.

Isabella Pappas

Playing Alice and Harry’s teenage daughter Charlotte is Isabella Pappas, a relatively new face to the acting scene.

Charlotte is tasked with looking after her mum while she’s bent double with grief after her husband’s death.

She’s not appeared in much yet, but you might recognise Pappas from the show Paranoid. The actress has also worked in theatre.

Sharon Rooney

Sharon Rooney is Harry’s sister Nicola, who tries to keep the family together and positive following the tragic incident.

Best known for her role in My Mad Fat Diary, Rooney has also appeared in The Capture and No Offence.

Dominique Moore

Harry’s assistant, Yasmina, is played by Dominique Moore.

Yasmina soon grows close to Alice and the grieving family after the husband’s death.

Moore has also appeared in Murder in Successville, Horrible Histories and A Confession.

Rhashan Stone

Finally, as Nathan Johnston we have Rhashan Stone, who has starred in Bodies, Black Mirror and Apple Tree Yard.

Nathan works at the mortuary where Harry is taken after he dies, and it emerges that the character has also grieved for someone in his life.

Due to his own experience of loss, he becomes a sort of grief guru to Alice.

The first episode of the six-part drama was shown on ITV on Sunday 17 January.

That episode is available to catch up on now through ITV Hub, and you can also watch all the episodes of series one there now.

If you prefer to consume your TV at a more “traditional” pace, further episodes will be broadcast on Sunday nights at 9pm.
