'I love the Northerners': TikTok festival expert gives her verdict on Leeds Festival

TikTok creator Eve, known online as 'That Festival Girl', shares why Bramham Park's unique atmosphere, late-night culture, and North-South dynamic keep her coming back for more

With tens of thousands of revellers descending on Bramham Park for Leeds Festival 2026, music fans from all corners of the UK have pitched their tents for a weekend of live music, mud, and late-night antics.

But what is it that makes the West Yorkshire event stand out from the rest of the UK's crowded festival circuit?

Content creator Eve Hudson, widely known to her followers on social media as 'That Festival Girl', sat down with the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Jennifer Cartwright at Bramham Park to deliver her definitive verdict on what keeps bringing her back to Leeds.

'It's the best thing in the world'

When asked what she loves most about Leeds Festival, Eve didn't hesitate to praise the local atmosphere and the warmth of the crowds.

"I love the Northerners," Eve revealed. "I love everyone from Yorkshire. I love how people just come together all for the music. It's the best thing in the world."

Having attended festivals across the country, Eve noted that the unique energy of the Northern crowd creates a sense of community that is hard to replicate elsewhere.

One of the biggest talking points for festivalgoers comparing the dual-site Leeds and Reading events is the notorious post-headliner atmosphere.

For Eve, Bramham Park wins hands down when it comes to night-time entertainment.

"The night-time entertainment... it's on until 5am," she explained. "When I first came in 2022 for my first year, that was like the best thing ever!

But now I'm like in bed by 2am at the latest."

Despite taking a slightly more relaxed approach to the early hours these days, she highlighted the late-night DJ sets and campsite parties as a major advantage over its southern counterpart.

"It's so fun, and I know that Reading doesn't have it as well, so that's a bonus," she added.

Lineup highlights and campsite madness

Turning her attention to this year's music lineup, Eve revealed she is most excited to catch pop superstar Charli XCX following her massive Brat album era, along with rising artist Sombr.

"I'm looking forward to seeing Charli, because obviously she brought out her new album," Eve said. "I did see her when Brat came out, which was incredible, but I think that'll be so good. And then I'm also excited to see Sombr, actually. That's going to be really good."

No Leeds Festival experience is complete without witnessing a bit of campsite chaos, and Eve has seen her fair share over the years—ranging from wild sights to full-on fancy dress.

"The other year, fires," Eve recalled when asked about the craziest things she has witnessed on site. "There was a lot of fires the other year, which was crazy. But other than that, I've seen people walking around in pajamas.

I've seen someone in my tent wearing a big blow-up beer costume that's literally a pint of beer! It's really funky, it's really fun."
