As Sirens Fall: Band rock their way to the top

A West Yorkshire rock band turned up the volume after winning a top music competition.

As Sirens Fall saw off competition from over 300 other acts across the country to win the final of the Soundwaves Music Competition. The band won an exposure package including a range of prizes such as a full day of recording at Yorkshire’s Voltage Studios as well as radio airplay.

They performed in front of a capacity crowd and industry judges at the O2 Academy Leeds main stage where the likes of George Ezra and Sam Smith performed sold out gigs.

The band said: “Words cannot describe how much this means to us. Playing in front of over 1,000 fans was absolutely beyond the best”
