Under the road map out of lockdown, the initial date of June 21 has been set for all restrictions to be eased - permitting festivals and large gatherings.
From the city's beloved independent venues like the Brudenell Social Club and Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen, to bigger venues like the O2 Academy and the First Direct Arena - there are some amazing artists performing in Leeds this year.
7. Bon Iver
Bon Iver are due to perform at the First Direct Arena on October 23. The American indie band won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album for their eponymous album Bon Iver.
8. Leeds Festival 2021
Leeds Festival is back for 2021. The organisers said: "Reading and Leeds 2021 Following the government's recent announcement, we can't wait to get back to the fields this summer LET'S GO". Acts at the festival - set to be hosted on the weekend of August 27 - include headliners Stormzy and Liam Gallagher.
9. Live at Leeds
Live at Leeds will celebrate its 15th anniversary on October 16, 2021 with the return of the festival. Early bird tickets are on sale at £33 here and it will take place at various venues across the city. The line-up is yet to be confirmed.
10. Slamdunk
The festival posted an update on their Facebook page advising ticket holders of the new festival date - Saturday September 4 at Temple Newsam. The line-up is yet to be confirmed, but the festival said it will be similar to 2020's postponed event, which included Sum 41, Don Broco, NOFX and Billy Talent.
