Under a blazing summer sky, a sea of determined smiley faces crossed the finish line as runners took on a charity challenge close to their hearts.
More than 1,700 runners laced up their running shoes to brave the heat to raise money for Cancer Research UK with the return of Race for Life at Temple Newsam, in Leeds.
Families, work colleagues and friends all joined together in memory of loved ones to raise cash to support the charity.
Organisers told the Yorkshire Evening Post they were expected to raise in excess of £430,000 from the event.
Yesterday saw brave fundraisers caked in mud for the return of the Pretty Muddy challenge to raise money.
Our photographer Steve Riding was there to capture all the action from the start to the finish line 📸
