It was a day of sunshine, smiles and street food as thousands of people celebrated the return of Kirkstall Festival.
Set against the backdrop of the historic Abbey, the festival is now in its fourth decade and had a packed programme of entertainment, local performers and family attractions.
Hundreds of people from across the city made the most of the heatwave and soaked up the celebrations yesterday.
Our photographer Steve Riding was there in Leeds to capture all the action 📸
