The Carriageworks theatre, on Millennium Square, is transformed once again into a magical kingdom ready to embrace the spirit of pantomime once again.
Laura Collins from the YEP went backstage to speak to the cast and crew to find out how they bring the panto to life - and even had a role on stage to wish the newspaper a very special 135th birthday.
Here are a series of 14 stunning photographs captured by our photographer Steve Riding.
The pantomime runs until Sunday, January 4, and to book tickets visit www.carriageworkstheatre.co.uk
