Wakefield Trinity reveal revised 17-man squad for St Helens showdown

Coronavirus-hit Wakefield Trinity have confirmed a new 17-man squad for today's (Friday's) clash with Betfred Super League champions St Helens at Emerald Headingley (5.30pm).

Coronavirus-hit Wakefield Trinity have confirmed a new 17-man squad for today's (Friday's) clash with Betfred Super League champions St Helens at Emerald Headingley (5.30pm).

Seven players - Ben Jones-Bishop, Jacob Miller, Jordan Crowther, Tinirau Arona, Jay Pitts, Kyle Wood and Brad Walker - have dropped out from the initial 21 which was named two days ago.

Joe Westerman, Josh Wood and Connor Bailey - who were originally not included - have been draFted in.

Trinity chief executive Michael Carter said one player has tested positive for Covid-19 this week, leading to nine others being stood down.

Trinity's 17 is: Alex Walker, Tom Johnstone, Reece Lyne, David Fifita, Matty Ashurst, Joe Westerman, Craig Kopczak, James Batchelor, Adam Tangata, Max Jowitt, Josh Wood, Jack Croft, Ryan Hampshire, Connor Bailey, Kelepi Tanginoa, Innes Senior, Eddie Battye.
