Toronto Wolfpack v Featherstone Rovers: '˜We've got to give it everything we've got' says coach Duffy

WE JUST need to go there and play well.

That is the attitude Featherstone Rovers are taking into today’s ‘mission impossible’ at Toronto Wolfpack (6.30pm UK time), according to boss John Duffy.

Last week’s home loss to London Broncos left Rovers fifth in the Betfred Championship going into the final round of fixtures.

Defeat at the league leaders – who are on an 18-game winning run and have never lost at Lamport Stadium – would end Featherstone’s top-four hopes.

Even if they win, Rovers will be relying on at least one other result to go in their favour to sneak into the Qualifiers, but Duffy insisted: “We can’t worry too much about that.

“Last Sunday was a tough one to take, but watching the game back it was probably the best we’ve played for a long time.

“We came up with wrong options at a couple of key moments in the game, but we performed really well and we’ve got to finish in the right manner.

“We’ve got to go there and perform and give it everything we’ve got.”

Toronto have nothing to play for, but Duffy expects them to be highly-motivated.

“They are a fantastic team,” he said.

“We’ve just got to focus on ourselves and make sure we perform.”
