That’s the view of Leeds Rhinos director of rugby Kevin Sinfield following the government’s announcement that fans could be allowed back into stadiums from May 17.
Rhinos’ first game after that is at home to Hull on the weekend of May 20-23.

“We can’t wait to just get a few people in, let alone 5-10,000,” Sinfield said.
“It is a very empty place without fans in at Headingley.
“I think it will make a difference.
“I think we all got used to the three venues last year, but as we’ve seen in the Premier League this year, a side like Liverpool, a side that have been so dominant at home, absolutely miss that crowd.”
Rhinos will face Wakefield Trinity behind closed doors at Emerald Headingley a month today in Betfred Super League round one.

“The crowds are vital to our sport,” Sinfield added.
“They are a big part of who we are - you know how close the players are, still, with the bloke on the street and we’ve all missed that.”
