Leeds Rhinos’ youngsters gave another good account of themselves in a 40-8 defeat against a full-strength St Helens side.

Most of Rhinos’ senior players were rested at the start of what could be six games in 17 days, but - after going 22-0 down before the interval - an inexperienced Leeds side matched the champions for much of the second half.
