Rugby league on TV: how to watch Leeds Rhinos v St Helens plus Wakefield Trinity v Hull KR free on BBC 2
It’s a huge weekend for top-flight rugby league with most sides facing opposition close to them on the table.
The action kicks off on Thursday when Betfred Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos face their bogey team, third-placed St Helens, at AMT Headingley. That is one of Sky Sport’s exclusive matches from round 13, along with the Paris clash between Catalans Dragons and new Challenge Cup holders Wigan Warriors on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Wakefield Trinity play host to Wembley runners-up Hull KR. That game will be shown live on BBC 2, as well as streamed via the Sky Sports+ red button and on the competition’s own SuperLeague+ channel. It is Trinity’s first game since the death last weekend of their former coach John Kear, who was also a respected pundit for BBC television and radio.
Castleford Tigers aim for a third successive win when they meet visitors Leigh Leopards the previous evening, on the Sky Sports+ red button and SuperLeague+. Here’s how to watch this weekend’s matches, with channel details, kick-off times and when coverage begins.
