Brambani, who made his debut for Castleford Tigers in 2004 and has also played for Featherstone Rovers, Halifax, Dewsbury Rams, Sheffield Eagles and Batley Bulldogs, needs one point for 1,500 in his career.

Coach Gary Thornton has named five loan players – Batley’s Wayne Reittie and George Senior, plus potential debutants Ben Tibbs and Curtis Davies of Halifax and Dave Gibbons from Warrington – in a 19-man squad.

Thornton warned: “This will be another tough game for us against a team that has spent heavily in the off season to try to get out of this division.

“We have a few injuries to key men, but we will use that adversity in a positive manner and pull together for each other.”

Hunslet are aiming to get the season on track after losing two of their opening three games.

Thornton insisted: “It’s still early days and results so far show there are a number of teams who are capable of beating each other.”
