National Confererence round-up - results and scorers for Stanningley, Hunslet Warriors, Hunslet Parkside, East Leeds and Drighlington - plus why Milford v Oulton Raiders was postponed

Stanningley secured Leeds bragging rights with a powerful 50-10 demolition of Hunslet Warriors in National Conference League D.

Warriors have yet to get off the mark after two games, but Stanningley, with two wins from three matches, are beginning to find some impressive form.

They were 16-0 ahead after 18 minutes, through tries by William Barker, Jack Sykes and Edward Crossland.

Ben Smith replied for Warriors, but a Jack Smith touchdown made it 22-4 at half-time.

It was a similar story in the second period when Dean Parker, Samuel Moorhouse, Dion Henry, Luke Townend and Carl McGuigan added tries for Stanningley and Crossland finished the game with seven goals.

Warriors’ Josh McLelland ran in a late consolation, converted by Jordan Gale.

Oulton Raiders’ game at Milford was postponed after a home player was diagnosed with coronavirus symptoms

Hunslet Club Parkside suffered their first defeat of the season, 22-16 at fellow heavyweights Siddal.

Mikey Nuttall, George Clarke and Connor Squires touched down for Parkside and Andy Hullock booted two goals.

Former Leeds Rhinos academy full-back Liam Whitton, who joined Featherstone Rovers last year, was among Siddal’s try scorers.

Sam Thornton scored Drighlington’s only points in a 52-4 group E loss to West Bowling.

It was Drighlington’s third defeat in as many games this season.

East Leeds got off the mark at the third attempt, but were given an early scare in a cross-league match at Gateshead Storm.

The north east side led 10-6 at one stage before Easts found their feet and hit back to win 48-10.

Aaron Kibler bagged a brace for the visitors and other try scorers were Roy Railton, Liam English, Luke Mullen, Owen Hughes, Tom Howson, Josh Wood and Luke Littlewood, who added six goals.
