National Confererence round-up - results and scorers for Oulton Raiders, Hunslet Warriors, Stanningley, Hunslet Parkside, Milford, East Leeds and Drighlington

Oulton Raiders held on for a 14-12 win over Leeds rivals Hunslet Warriors in the National Conference’s League D.

Raiders were in control at half-time when they led 14-0 through Matty Stableford’s opener - converted by Archie Craggs - and a brace of tries from Adrian Holdsworth.

Warriors made a game of it as Harry Shackleton and Lee West crossed and Jordan Gale landed both conversions.

Stanningley gave a good account of themselves in the other Leeds derby, before going down 32-20 to visitors Hunslet Club Parkside.

Stanningley raced into a 14-0 lead after just 12 minutes through tries from Jack Smith and Luke Townend, both of which were converted by Ryan Taylor who also added a penalty.

James Healey, Corey Johnson and Richie Westwood touched down and Craig McShane booted two goals to edge Parkside ahead soon after half-time, but Jack Sykes’ try, improved by Taylor, regained the lead for the home team.

Hunslet finally managed to take control on the last 25 minutes, pulling clear through tries from Bradley Wheeler, Johnson - the former England academy and Leeds Rhinos hooker- and Liam Thompson, for the second successive game. Andy Hullock kicked two goals to complete the scoring.

East Leeds were beaten 18-12 by Siddal, having led 6-0 early on and pulled level in the final quarter.

Jack Norfolk scored both Easts’ tries, improved by Luke Littlewood.

Milford were 32-24 victors over Normanton Knights in a cross-group game.

The Leeds side’s try scorers were Rhys Greenhall, Ryan O’Connor, Ben Brown, Corey Challenger and Kieran Wilyman, all converted by Sam Best, who also landed a penalty.

Danny Barker (2), Craig Wright and Adam Banwell crossed for Knights and Charlie Barker converted all four.

Drighlington shared eight tries with Underbank Rangers, but managed only one goal - by Michael Sanderson - and were beaten 26-18.

Steve Meldrum (2), John Gallagher and Sam Thornton were Drighlington’s try scorers.
