There was a big effort from Lock Lane’s Craig Savage who touched down in the second half and Jack Jones, of Thatto Heath, was the Lions’ other try scorer.

Featherstone Lions’ Ian Jackson started at full-back, with Parkside’s Andy Hullock - the vice-captain - at scrum-half and Luke Tagg (Lock Lane), Dean Gamble (Featherstone Lions) and Ryan Chalkley (Shaw Cross Sharks) among the substitutes.

Try scorers for the Aussies were David Tabuai, Losi Kereti (2), Kody Simecki, Delane Edwards and Logan Barclay. James Aspden added two conversions.

BARLA must now defeat Fiji Bati Residents on Friday to stand a chance of winning the International Tri-Series.
