The Betfred Super League champions will face their NRL equivalents at AAMI Park on Friday, February 16.

Rhinos say the new shirt is inspired by one worn by Leeds in the 1930s. Rhinos also donned an amber kit when they defeated Melbourne in the 2008 World Club Challenge and for their loss to the same opponents two years later, both at Elland Road.

The shirt features three stars above the club badge to mark Rhinos’ previous world titles and the date of each is included inside the collar.

The game details are printed on the shirt, which also includes the new World Club Challenge logo on the chest.

A limited number of replica shirts will be available the week before the game and the club are now taking pre-orders. Replica shirts will be on sale in adult sizes XS to seven-XL and women’s sizes eight-18 at £46.99. Junior shirts are available in sizes age six to 16, priced £36.99.

Next month’s tie will be Rhinos’ eighth World Club Challenge and their fourth meeting with Melbourne, who also won at Headingley in 2013.

It is the first time Rhinos have travelled Down Under for the tie. Their previous competitive games outside Europe were in the 1997 World Club Championship when they lost to North Queensland Cowboys and Adelaide Rams.
