Second-row Josh Walters left the ground with a foot in a protective boot following last Friday’s defeat by Hull KR and is not included in the initial 19-man squad.

Centre Joel Moon (groin) also drops out, but Brett Delaney could return in the pack after a hamstring problem.

Full-back Ashton Golding has been named in the 19 for the first time since suffering an ankle injury away to Widnes Vikings almost two months ago and half-back Jordan Lilley and prop Jordan Baldwinson – who both played on dual registration for Featherstone Rovers last week – are also included.

Other players out injured are Tom Briscoe (shoulder), Ryan Hall (ankle), Jimmy Keinhorst (calf), Brett Ferres (calf) and Stevie Ward (knee).

Carl Forster drops out from the Salford team beaten at Wakefield last Sunday.

Craig Kopczak is likely to replace him and Tommy Lee and Ryan Lannon are also back in contention.

The game was originally due to be played on Friday, but was put back a day due to rugby union commitments at AJ Bell Stadium.
