Rhinos were beaten 38-24 at Widnes Vikings, despite tries by Kallum Watkins (2), Stevie Ward, Joel Moon and Jimmy Keinhorst.

2002

A crowd of more than 18,000 saw Rhinos beat Bradford Bulls 28-20 at Headingley. Try scorers were Tonie Carroll, Kevin Sinfield, Wayne McDonald and Willie Poching.

Leeds won 40-14 at Paris St Germain, with Adrian Morley bagging a brace of tries in a storming performance on his 19th birthday.

Jim Fallon and Kevin Iro also touched down twice and Graham Holroyd and Francis Cummins were the Loiners’ other scorers.

1969

Ron Cowan and Ray Batten both crossed twice as Leeds beat Salford 22-12 in a Championship semi-final at Headingley.

Tony Crosby and Syd Hynes were Leeds’ other try scorers.

1941

A crowd of 22,000 turned up at Odsal for the second leg of Leeds’ Challenge Cup semi-final against Bradford Northern, a week after a 10-10 draw at Headingley.

Leeds reached the final with a 12-2 victory. Eric Batten and Vic Hey were the try scorers.
