Leeds beat London Broncos 21-12 in a Challenge Cup fifth round tie at Headingley.
Try scorers were Keith Senior, Mark Calderwood, and Kevin Sinfield, who also kicked a drop goal. Dave Furner landed four goals.

Mel Mason scored two tries – his first for Leeds – in a 21-10 home win over Wigan, in front of 5,687 fans.

Holders Leeds were knocked out of the Challenge Cup 9-5 by Castleford at Wheldon Road, Bev Risman scoring a try and goal for the visitors.
Referee E Lawrinson threatened to halt the game after bottles were thrown on to the pitch in the first half.
