Graham Holroyd scored a try and four goals in a 21-14 defeat of Oldham at Watersheddings, the opening game in a nine-match winning run.

Leeds’ other try scorers were Jim Fallon and Ellery Hanley and Garry Schofield added a drop goal.

1976

Leeds won 12-7 at Featherstone Rovers to go top of Division One.

Substitute Syd Hynes, who replaced John Holmes at stand-off and Keith Hepworth inspired Leeds’ fightback from 7-4 behind in the final quarter.

Phil Cookson and Bob Haigh scored Leeds’ tries and David Marshall kicked three goals.

1972

Leeds drew 12-12 with Great Britain at Headingley in a benefit match for injured Loiners star Mick Shoebottom.

David Ward and Brian Hughes scored Leeds’ tries and Terry Clawson kicked three goals.

1969

Ray Batten was man of the match for Leeds in a 29-11 win at Featherstone Rovers, which came after they scored three tries inside the opening 10 minutes.

Batten touched down twice and other try scorers were Albert Eyre, Syd Hynes, Bernard Watson, John Burke and Alan Smith. Bev Risman landed four goals.

1936

Winger Eric Harris scored a club record 63 tries during the 1935-36 season and touched down in 17 consecutive games, including a brace against Hull KR in an 18-7 home win on January 11.

Jim Brough scored a try and three goals and Stan Brogden also crossed.
