2002

Leeds broke their JJB Stadium duck, at the fifth attempt, with a 28-22 win which lifted them to second in Super League.

The lead changed hands six times in a thrilling clash, but tries by Mark Calderwood (2), Keith Senior, Adrian Vowles, pictured above, and Karl Pratt – plus four goals from Ben Walker – ended Wigan’s six-game winning run.

2001

Defences weren’t exactly on top as Rhinos conceded 46 points at home to Huddersfield Giants – and still won by six.

Marcus St Hilaire crossed twice and Iestyn Harris notched a try and eight goals. Other try scorers were Barrie McDermott, Mark Calderwood, Robbie Mears, Keith Senior, Francis Cummins and Anthony Farrell.

1997

Rhinos picked up a third straight win with a 43-26 success against Oldham Bears at Boundary Park. Phil Hassan, Anthony Farrell and Iestyn Harris all crossed twice and Paul Sterling was Leeds’ other try scorer.

Harris kicked four goals and Graham Holroyd booted three, plus a one-pointer.

1963

Leeds’ seventh game of the month was a second successive defeat, 13-4 at home to Castleford.

Lewis Jones kicked all Leeds’ points.
