Centre/second-rower Alex Sutcliffe has been named in Rhinos’ initial 21-man squad for the first time this year, having recovered from a broken hand suffered on Leeds’ warm weather training camp in Spain last month.

Sutcliffe made one appearance for Rhinos in 2019, featuring as a substitute against London Broncos at the Magic Weekend last May, but scored 16 tries in 19 games during an impressive dual-registration stint with Featherstone Rovers.

Also in contention alongside the 17 players on duty in the 52-10 win over Hull KR are outside-back Rhys Evans, stand-off Callum McLelland and prop Tom Holroyd.
