Leeds Rhinos' five best wins of the decade

Rhinos were crowned Super League champions four times, won the Challenge Cup twice and also collected a league leaders' shield and World Club Challenge title.

Here we look back at five of Rhinos' best wins from the past 10 seasons.

5: There wasn't much for Leeds fans to celebrate in 2018, but on March 16 a patched-up side visited St Helens, the eventual league leaders and - against the odds - came away with a shock 28-20 success. Already missing a host of key players, Leeds played for 74 minutes with only three substitutes, after Ashton Golding was hurt. A brace of tries by Ash Handley was crucial to the end result.

4: Leeds lost seven successive games from late April to early June, 2016. They were bottom of Super League when Salford Red Devils visited Headingley on June 10, but Luke Briscoe scored the only try of a tense, rain-affected clash and two goals by Liam Sutcliffe sealed a precious 8-0 win.

3: Kevin Sinfield produced a masterclass in Leeds' 24-6 Challenge Cup quarter-final victory at Hull on June 26, 2015. In monsoon conditions, Rhinos played a near-perfect game of wet weather rugby, with Sinfield creating one try, converting all three and landing three penalty goals.

2: Leeds were embarrassed 50-8 at home by Wigan Warriors on June 1, 2012. On July 14 the sides met again in a Challenge Cup semi-final at Huddersfield and Rhinos turned the tables with a magnificent 39-28 triumph. Kevin Sinfield, Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow all had big games for the 3-1 outsiders, who led 16-0 after a rampant opening 11 minutes. Rhinos' play-offs semi-final win at Wigan two months later was just as good.

1: League leaders Warrington Wolves made a mistake by selecting Leeds as their opponents for a qualifying semi-final on September 30, 2011. Rhinos, who had finished fifth in the table, stunned their hosts - and even their own fans in a 12,000 crowd at HJ Stadium - with a sensational performance to win 26-24. The scores were level until the final moments when Leeds were awarded a penalty and a nerveless Kevin Sinfield kicked them through to Old Trafford.
