The tie is one of the highlights of the sixth round draw, which saw the top eight clubs from last year’s Super League enter the competition for the first time.

Rhinos will face Giants twice in three matches as Leeds visit Huddersfield for a Super League fixture on Thursday, April 30, with the Cup tie due to be staged on the weekend of May 15-17.

All eight ties involve Yorkshire interest, with the only other all-White Rose match-up seeing last year’s runners-up Castleford Tigers visit Hull.

Hull KR - who travel to Wigan Warriors on May 1 - will be back there for the third all-Super League tie two weeks later.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, who ended an eight-game losing run with victory over Kingstone Press Championship outfit Halifax last Friday, have home advantage against Leigh Centurions.

Leigh, who are the unbeaten Championship leaders, have already claimed one Super League scalp, knocking out visitors Salford Red Devils last weekend.

Featherstone Rovers face a cross-Channel trip to Catalans Dragons while Batley Bulldogs - coached by two-time Cup-winning coach John Kear - will travel to Widnes Vikings’ artificial pitch.

Dewsbury Rams, who gave a good account of themselves at home to Wigan Warriors last year, will take on Warrington Wolves at Tetley’s Stadium.

The only League One side left in the competition, York City Knights, were handed a glamour tie at Super League champions St Helens.

The full draw is: Widnes Vikings v Batley Bulldogs, Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants, Hull v Castleford Tigers, Wigan Warriors v Hull KR, Catalans Dragons v Featherstone Rovers, St Helens v York, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats v Leigh Centuriuons, Dewsbury Rams v Warrington Wolves.

Ties to be played on the weekend of May 15-17.
