Leeds Rhinos contracts - here's how long players have on their current deal and who will be a free agent at the end of this year

Leeds Rhinos’ begin their Betfred Super League campaign in two weeks’ time and it is set to be a big year for a host of players in the final year of their contract.

Rhinos will not confirm how long each player has left on his current deal, but at least 10 are understood to be out of contract this autumn.

Clubs have a deadline of May 31 to notify players in the last year of their contract if they will be offered new terms.

Players are allowed to speak to other clubs from May 1.

Here’s what we know about the current contract situation of every player in the first team squad.

Jack Walker: Signed a long-term contract in June, 2019, keeping him at Leeds until the end of 2023.

Tom Briscoe: Penned a two-year contract last summer, until the end of 2022.

Harry Newman: Contracted until the end of next year, having signed a three-year deal in July, 2019.

Konrad Hurrell: Arrived at Rhinos in 2019 on a three-year deal, so is out of contract in November. Has said his main goal is to "play the best I can to hopefully stay in Leeds".

Ash Handley: Signed a four-year deal in August, 2019, so is contracted until the end of the 2023 campaign.

Rob Lui: Moved to Leeds from Salford Red Devils mid-way through 2019 on a two-and-a-half-year contract which expires this autumn. He says what happens after that is not yet decided.

Luke Gale: Penned a three-year contract in October, 2019, so has another season after this one.

Mikolaj Oledzki: Contracted until the end of 2024 after signing for four more years last November.

Kruise Leeming: The hooker joined Rhinos from Huddersfield Giants on a two-year contract, which expires at the end of this season.

Matt Prior: Prior initially signed a two-year contract ahead of 2020, with an option for a third which he confirmed Leeds have asked him to take up. He said last week: "I am going to see how this year pans out... Hopefully I am enjoying it and everything’s going well and I can stay on for another year. I would love that.”

Alex Mellor: About to begin his second season at Leeds, having signed a three-year deal.

Rhyse Martin: Joined Rhinos on a two and a half year deal in June, 2019, which ends this autumn. He recently said his manager is handling that side of things and he is "not too fussed" about the situation at present, but stressed he is happy at Leeds.

Zane Tetevano: The Cook Island and New Zealand international is entering his first season with Leeds after signing a three-year contract.

Brad Dwyer: Contracted to Rhinos until the end of next season. He joined on a two-year deal in 2018, extended that by 12 months the following year and signed his latest contract last July.

Liam Sutcliffe: Asked to go on the transfer list last summer, with a year remaining on his contract. He signed a new long-term deal, until the end of 2024, a month ago.

Richie Myler: Having joined Leeds on a three-year deal ahead of the 2018 season, he penned a new two-year contract last summer after a move to Toronto Wolfpack fell through.

Cameron Smith: Signed a three-year deal 12 months ago, so under contract to the end of 2023.

Tom Holroyd: The prop has moved through Rhinos’ academy system and details of his current contract have not been confirmed by the club.

King Vuniyayawa: Rhinos’ first Fijian arrived on a one-year contract in February.

Bodene Thompson: The Kiwi penned a two-year contract at the end of last season, after a spell on loan from Toronto Wolfpack.

Alex Sutcliffe: The latest contract announced by the club was a four-year deal in August, 2017. That runs until this November.

Sam Walters: Joined Leeds from Widnes Vikings two years ago, but details of his contract have not been revealed.

Callum McLelland: Now in the final year of his contract, having joined Leeds after the 2018 transfer deadline.

Luke Briscoe: In his third spell with Leeds, his contract expires this autumn and he has said he is keen to earn a new deal.

James Donaldson: In the final season of a two-year contract he signed in September, 2019. Has said his "goal now is to earn a new deal".

Jarrod O’Connor: Joined Rhinos along with Walters, also on an unconfirmed contract.

Jack Broadbent: The young centre signed a two year deal at the end of last season, which was announced in February.

Corey Hall: Joined Leeds from Wigan Warriors’ academy ahead of the 2020 season, on a three-year contract.

Liam Tindall: Stepped up from the academy and signed a three-year full-time contract last August.

Levi Edwards: In his first season in the senior squad after moving straight up from Rhinos’ scholarship. The length of his contract is undisclosed.

Morgan Gannon: Similar to Edwards, now part of the full-time squad, but details of his deal have been kept under wraps.
