Hunslet going on a Bears hunt in pursuit of Challenge Cup success

HUNSLET WILL fancy their chances of progressing in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup after being handed a home third round tie against Kingstone Press League One rivals Coventry Bears, on the weekend of February 25/26.

James Coyle’s Hunslet, whose competitive season begins in the League One Cup at home to Newcastle Thunder on Sunday, won 38-18 when the midlands outfit visited South Leeds Stadium last year.

Amateur survivors Fryston Warriors - the Yorkshire Cup holders and Pennine League leaders – will attempt to create an upset after being drawn at home to League One Keighley Cougars.

National Conference champions Siddal, from Halifax, will be Toronto Wolfpack’s first competitive opponents, while York City Knights and Doncaster were drawn at home to community sides Egremont Rangers and Myton Warriors respectively.
