Hunslet coach impressed by Batley Bulldogs loan pair - Wayne Reittie and George Senior shine on Parksiders debut
Winger Reittie and Senior, a centre, both made their debut in Hunslet’s 28-16 win at North Wales Crusaders last weekend.
“They were inevitably a bit rusty, but both impressed me,” Thornton said.

Thornton also felt captain Duane Straugheir’s return from injury was influential in Hunslet’s first win of the season.
“Straff’s a leader and galvanises the side,” he said.
The coach added: “We managed the game well in the closing stages, on a difficult pitch.
“The half-backs Simon Brown and Dom Brambani made the most of a strong platform set by our forwards and Vila Halafihi and Nathan Conroy also made big contributions.

A third player on loan from Batley, forward Anthony Bowman, will come into contention for Sunday’s home game against promotion favourites Barrow Raiders.
Prop Sion Jones and winger Matty Chrimes both rolled an ankle during the win and in Wales will be assessed before Thornton names his squad for this weekend.
