The former Gold Coast Titans prop suffered a torn biceps during his Rhinos debut away to Warrington Wolves almost three months ago.

He has been cleared to resume playing, but will not be risked for Leeds at Hull KR on Sunday.

Rhinos boss Brian McDermott has named an unchanged initial 19-man squad and will select from the 17 players on duty in last week’s 19-18 defeat at Hull, plus forwards Brad Singleton and Josh Walters.

Singleton missed the trip to KCOM Stadium due to an ankle injury suffered in the previous game against Wigan Warriors.

Walters has also been named in Featherstone Rovers’ 19 to host Batley Bulldogs tomorrow, along with Rhinos half-back Jordan Lilley. Peteru was made available for Rovers on dual-registration, but has not been selected.

Rhinos are still without full-back Jack Walker, centre Liam Sutcliffe and prop Mitch Garbutt. Walker has missed four games because of an ankle injury and no timescale has been put on his return. Sutcliffe suffered a recurrence of a foot injury on his return against Wakefield Trinity earlier this month and could be sidelined for around five more weeks.

Garbutt, recovering from knee surgery, is seven games into his layoff and is expected to be unavailable for at least another six weeks.
