Callum McLelland, Tom Holroyd and Jarrod O’Connor all played for Rovers in last week’s Betfred Championship game at Bradford Bulls, but Rhinos do not want them Cup-tied, which would prevent them playing for the Super League club later in the competition.

Wellington Albert, who is on season-long loan from Rhinos, will feature for Rovers.

Greg Worthington has been recalled by Toronto, but will return to Rovers on a new loan deal next week. Brandan French, a Featherstone player who scored for Rhinos’ reserves last week, has been included in Rovers’ squad and youngsters Jack Richardson, Sam Ottewell, Bradley Wright and Nathan Wright are all in contention.

Hunslet centre Tom Ashton (back) and second-row Josh Tonks (calf) have passed fitness tests ahead of tomorrow’s tie with North Wales Crusaders (2.30pm). But winger Matty Chrimes (ankle) and centre Ben Heaton (calf) have been ruled out and former Leeds full-back or winger Kiedan Hartley is unavailable after rolling an ankle in training. Forwards Zach Braham and Zach Johnson are both suspended.

Dewsbury visit Whitehaven tomorrow (3pm) and will field a much-changed side following their Championship win at Halifax. Hull KR loan player Matty Gee drops out, along with Andy Gabriel, Sam Day and Sonny Esslemont. Players who could be called into the 17 are Thomas Brierley, Rhys Davies, Davey Dixon, Sam Moorhouse, Luke Nelmes, Morgan Punchard, Martyn Reilly and James Thornton.

Rovers’ squad: Albert, Blackmore, Bussey, Carey, Cooper, Ferres, French, Gale, Hall, Hardcastle, Harrison, Jouffret, Lockwood, Ottewell, Parata, Richardson, Susino, Sweeting, B Wright, N Wright.
