England Knights call-up for ex-Leeds Rhinos flier

Former Leeds Rhinos centre Jack Broadbent has been called into the England Knights squad for Saturday’s game against Scotland in Edinburgh.

Broadbent, 20, was the YEP’s Rhinos Shooting Star in 2021 when he scored nine tries in 14 appearances and made his Knights debut against Jamaica,.

But he fell out of favour this year, featuring just five times before a loan move to Featherstone Rovers.

He is now out of contract at Leeds and expected to join Castleford Tigers for next season.

Rhinos winger Liam Tindall retains his place after featuring in the Knights’ 18-6 win over France ‘B’ last Sunday.

Scotland’s squad for their World Cup warm-up game includes Wakefield Trinity’s former Leeds hooker Liam Hood.

Saturday’s match will be screened live on The Sportsman YouTube channel from 1.15pm.
