Handley, who will turn 20 on Tuesday, has been drafted into Rhinos’ initial squad for tomorrow’s First Utility Super League trip to Widnes Vikings.

And he has also been named in Featherstone Rovers’ 19 for their home game against Batley Bulldogs on the same day, after making his debut for the Kingstone Press Championship outfit as a dual-registration player last week.

Danny McGuire suffered a knee injury in that game and joins Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Stevie Ward on the long-term casualty list.

Widnes are without winger Patrick Ah Van from the team which won at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats six days ago.
