Dewsbury Rams: Players ran out of juice says Morrison on back of tough Easter schedule

That was coach Glenn Morrison’s assessment of the defeat which left Rams eighth in the table.

“I don’t think the scoreline reflects the game, but we didn’t play very well,” Morrison said.

“We had 10 out injured and five front-rowers missing so it was always going to be tough.

“We bombed a couple of chances and we could have gone in at half-time in front, but in the second half the Easter period took its toll.

“Our energy levels dropped and they scored some easy, soft tries, which was disappointing.

“We managed to get a couple of tries back at the end, but playing three full-time teams in three weeks and a derby was going to take its toll and we just ran out of juice.”

Scott Hale is likely to miss Sunday’s clash with Bradford Bulls after suffering concussion, but Morrison was pleased with Etu Uaisele and Jon Walker, both on loan from this weekend’s visitors.

Uaisele had a spell at Rams last year and Morrison said: “Etu came in and did a good job.

“We will work with Jonny and get him up to speed with our systems.

“He has got a good offload, so both of them will add something to us.”
