HUNSLET WARRIORS are in danger of being dragged into a relegation battle, which makes tomorrow's derby at home to Milford Marlins a crucial game for coach Jamie Benn's men.

Warriors were crushed 60-6 at National Conference Division One leaders Underbank Rangers last week and have dropped to ninth in the table.

Spokeswoman Pam Crosby said: “Jamie has not only had the lads training hard, but has also been working on re-building morale.”

Warriors will be without Caldon Bravo and Darrell Forster, but are boosted by the return of prop Johnny Dawson, forward Dave Norton and centre Elliot Miller.

Milford, who are fourth, will be looking for an 80-minute performance after letting a 24-0 lead slip in last week’s 36-30 defeat at Normanton Knights. Second-placed Hunslet Club Parkside visit Ince Rose Bridge.

Division Two leaders East Leeds welcome back Jacob Walton for the long trip to Millom, but Reg Brown and Ryan Wooffitt will be rested after picking up knocks in last week’s 78-13 demolition of Salford City Roosters. Spokesman Peter Longbottom said: “We have got some option. We’ve got 25 players and they can all come in and do a job when required.”

Second-placed Oulton Raiders play host to Bradford Dudley Hill, who are third. Stanningley visit Dewsbury Celtic in Division Three.
