Barrow have won only twice in the league this year, but one of those victories was at home to Leigh Centurions and they also drew with Toronto Wolfpack when the current leaders visited Cumbria two months ago.

Raiders’ form on the road since they won promotion last year has been less impressive, but Duffy knows his team are in for a battle.

“They have not lost for nearly two seasons at home,” he said. “It is going to be our toughest game of the year so far. It is just preparation and mentality for us. We will be making sure we are bang on and we have a really tough, work-hard mentality. Hopefully we’ll come up with a good game plan to try and get a result.”

Rovers are third in the table with eight wins from their 10 games so far, but Duffy feels they can still improve. He said: “We are all right. We’re still not clicking on all fronts yet, there’s still plenty to work on in training. After this week we’ll be halfway through the season. Everyone’s had a look at each other and we have done all right, but we know it is a real test this weekend.”

Rovers could give a debut to centre/second-row Jansin Turgut who has joined them on loan from Hull.
