Are England Rugby League World Cup matches on BBC? How to watch and listen to games v France and Australia
England’s men and women are back in World Cup action this weekend.
The men meet France on Saturday (7.35am kick-off UK time) before the women face world champions Australia (10.05am), with both ties being staged at HBF Park in Perth. A 30-12 loss to Tonga last week left the men needing to beat France and Papua New Guinea six days later and hope other results go their way if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.
England’s women, including Leeds Rhinos’ Keara Bennett and Connie Boyd, crushed Wales 70-6 in their opening tie, but are taking on a huge challenge against the mighty Aussies who won 90-4 when the sides met at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last year.

All this year’s Rugby League World Cup ties are being broadcast live in the UK, but fans will need a Premier Sports subscription to watch. Coverage of the men’s game begins at 7.15am on Premier Sports 1, followed by the women’s match on the same channel from 9.45am. There is no live BBC TV coverage, but full commentary of both fixtures is available on Radio 5 Sports Extra from 7.15am and 9.45am respectively.
