Dom Speakman has returned to the club on a deal until the end of the season while Robson Stevens has joined the Rams on loan from Super League side Huddersfield Giants.

Speakman left the Rams last year due to work commitments but has returned to provide a timely boost to Lee Greenwood’s injury-hit squad.

“I am pleased to be able to welcome Dom back to the club. He is a quality player who knows the club well and we are excited to add him to the group,” said Greenwood.

“Robson is a young talent who has lots of promise and we are delighted to get him on board.”

Dewsbury were beaten 56-12 by Toulouse Olympique in their last outing with this weekend’s test against Featherstone set to be another tough assignment for Greenwood’s side.

“The scoreline was what everyone expected I suppose. Playing a full-time team with the quality they have,” reflected Greenwood of last week’s defeat.

“The positives are that we kept the score lower than their previous three games and we scored two tries and could have had a third.

“These are out on their own in terms of quality and size and fitness of player. It’ll be interesting when we play Featherstone to see if they are on the same level.”
