Stand-off Joel Moon scored one try and set up two others in Leeds’ 24-22 win over St Helens at Headingley.

Kallum Watkins, Ryan Hall and Stevie Ward also touched down and Jordan Lilley, recalled from loan at Bradford Bulls, booted four goals.

Bradford gained revenge for the previous month’s controversial Magic Weekend defeat by beating Leeds 38-14 in front of a 22,000 crowd at Headingley.

Matt Diskin, Lee Smith and Brent Webb scored Leeds’ tries and Kevin Sinfield kicked a goal.

2001

Rhinos could not quite overturn an 18-point deficit and were beaten 28-26 by Castleford Tigers at the Jungle.

For Leeds, Tonie Carroll crossed twice and other try scorers were Anthony Farrell, Barrie McDermott and Iestyn Harris, who kicked three goals.

More than 19,000 fans turned up at Headingley for an 8pm Sunday kick-off, but Leeds’ supporters went home unhappy after a 32-16 loss to Bradford Bulls.

Barrie McDermott and Gary Mercer were Rhinos’ try scorers and Iestyn Harris kicked four goals.
