Leeds fighter Warrington's world title vow

Undefeated Warrington will take on Danish challenger Dennis Ceylan at First Direct Arena tomorrow evening for a Final Eliminator for a shot at the IBF World Featherweight Championship belt currently held by Welshman Lee Selby.

The winner of Saturday night’s bout in Leeds will then be in line to take on Selby in a fight that would have to take place by next March.

And undefeated Warrington says he is approaching this weekend’s bout and the 26th fight of his professional career more determined than ever with a shot at Selby and the Welshman’s world title finally within his grasp. Warrington said: “We have come so far – we have won every title there is to win apart from the world title and now I have set my golden ambition on that.

“And I am not going to slip up now.

“This is years and years of hard graft and blood sweat and tears, many punches to the head and many punches thrown. But I don’t want to slip up now. I want to continue until I have achieved what I want to achieve and that’s bringing a world title back to Leeds.”
