The Elland Road faithful have their say on all things Leeds United.

To me this is a bad time to play the ‘yellow bellies’ (Norwich City) on the back of a hiding, and we (Leeds United) will do well if we get something from the game.

This, in the recent past, would be a ‘three now’t’ to them.

If we get even a point it will cement the feeling that we can stay in the hunt all season.

As for a win ... well, then things get really interesting as belief is a maker of great things.

This, along with the news of a sell-out for the Newcastle game, means, as Leeds fans, for the first time in ages we can dream of better things.

Small steps are very welcome

Happy with small steps, but that is just what they are at the mo’.

We (Leeds United) aren’t outplaying anyone and, let’s be honest, all our recent optimism is on the back of results against teams below us.

And they have had more than their fair share of possession and opportunities during those games, so let’s not get too carried away.

Well done to the lads, but there’s still a long way to go.

Let’s keep the headlines positive but realistic. How many times have we now gone out on a lost cause?

Everyone gets carried away with a couple of wins.

Where have the strikers gone?

Considering the number of academy lads Leeds have brought through in the last few years, and the lack of goals in the team at the moment, it’s a bit surprising that there haven’t been any strikers among them.

Unless I’ve missed someone, other than Dom Poleon you have to go back to Aaron Lennon for the last forward who was integrated into the first team from the academy.

Could Jack McKay be next? Or Frank Mulhern or Eoghan Stokes? I can’t say I’ve seen them play.

Crowds will keep rolling in

It will be good to see Elland Road full once again (v Newcastle). The trick now is to play well and compete, encouraging the extra crowd to return week on week.

The result isn’t as important as the performance, but a win would be a massive confidence boost. Just for once please Leeds, don’t bottle a big crowd. Think of the last few seasons with big away followings (Blackburn, Barnsley) where we have either performed poorly or simply not turned up. Yes, we beat MK last year but the performance was poor.

Tackle hard, show enthusiasm and passion and the crowds will keep on rolling in.
