Diame’s performances have not gone unnoticed with the Eagles said to be tracking the Championship star ahead of a possible beat-the-deadline move.

Manager Steve Bruce would be massively reluctant to let the midfielder leave, with Hull fighting for promotion back into the Premier League.

Ex-Leeds United captain Ross McCormack is continuing to seek to push through a big-money move from Fulham to Middlesbrough.

The Londoners have rejected an offer of £9m plus Kike on loan for McCormack but Boro are prepared to increase their bid.

The Scot has told friends he is determined to leave Fulham before February 1, according to reports.

Rotherham United remain keen on Birmingham winger Andrew Shinnie, but may have to wait for Blues to successfully capture Watford’s Diego Fabbrini - on loan at Middlesbrough - on a full-time basis before being able to proceed in their quest to shine the Scot.

Those hopes have increased thanks to Boro’s loan capture of Gaston Ramirez.

Sheffield Wednesday are being credited with an interest in young Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair, also linked with MK Dons, Bristol City and Fulham.

Meanwhile, Toronto’s former West Brom striker Luke Moore is believed to be being monitored by Leeds, the Owls and Reading.

Huddersfield Town are set to make a second bid for Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra after seeing an initial offer rebuffed by the Midlanders.

The 24-year-old Dutchman - linked to Leeds United earlier this season - is back at Molineux after recently returning from a productive loan spell at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Right winger van La Parra can also play as a striker and his versatility would increase the attacking options of head coach David Wagner.

But it remains to be seen if Town can prise the player away with Wolves’ flank options diminished after highly-rated Jordan Graham suffered a serious injury.

Brentford remain keen on landing Town loanee Jamie Paterson, with the Bees - with money to spend following Toumani Diagouraga’s move to Leeds - seeking to boost their ranks and conscious that Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday are keen to sign unsettled attacking midfielder Alan Judge, whose loss would leave them short of a key offensive option.

Town do have an option to try and make Nottingham Forest winger Paterson’s loan permanent, but Bees boss Dean Smith - who managed Paterson at Walsall - is waiting in the wings.

Former Huddersfield defender Anthony Gerrard has joined John Sheridan’s Oldham Athletic.

The 29-year-old, who made six appearances during a loan spell with the Latics at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, left Shrewsbury by mutual agreement last week.
