Yorkshire deadline day transfer gossip: Leeds United | Hull City | Middlesbrough

Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci has turned down a move to Italian third tier side Foggia, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian outlet reported that the Whites forward was being chased by the Lega Pro side, but apparently Antenucci is refusing to drop down to that level.

He is also reported to be interesting both Ascoli and Ternana, but Leeds are incredibly insistent that he is not for sale today, especially as Massimo Cellino commented earlier that it would be very difficult to get a replacement in on time.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has refused to comment on the possibility of signing Hull City midfielder Mo Diame. The Eagles were linked with a switch on Monday morning, with Diame said to have a favourable release clause in his contract with the Tigers. However, Pardew refused to say he would make a move.

He said: “I said after the game with Stoke that it will be one out and one in, in terms of what you would consider to be the first team squad. That remains the case and that’s what the chairman is rattling around the moment. I am not going to confirm any names as I don’t think that’s fair on the other clubs.”

Middlesbrough are still waiting on Jordan Rhodes, although local newspapers are insistent that the striker will be moving to the Riverside Stadium prior to the deadline. It follows the spectacular collapse of his transfer from Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, which has resulted in a giant u-turn today.
