Barnet 1 York City 3 Mills delight as York claim first league win

City, who drew 2-2 at Morecambe in midweek after losing 3-1 in their opening League Two assignment of the season at home to Wycombe, enjoyed the perfect start and took the lead after just seven minutes.
Long-serving defender Danny Parslow was the marksman with a crisp finish and just nine minutes later, Gary Mills’ troops doubled their tally when Ashley Chambers struck with his second goal of the campaign.

But the Minstermen restored their two-goal cushion on the stroke of half-time when Michael Coulson, who netted in the Capital One Cup clash at Doncaster a fortnight ago, fired home from the edge of the penalty area.
No further goals arrived after the break as York secured victory with a degree of comfort - their first in the Football League since January 10, 2004.
Mills said: ”It’s been a good couple of results away from home after the defeat at home last week and I thought we played well.

“We had two or three other chances, but we’ve come away from home with three points which feels fantastic.”
