Field beat Rimington in their quarter-final clash but have been thrown out of the competition for fielding an ineligible player. The West Yorkshire League champions have appealed the decision which was set to be heard last night.

Moon bagged the only goal of the game to complete a perfect three days for Beeston who could potentially go second in the division with victory at Hunslet Club tonight.

It’s a crunch night in the Premier Division title race with leaders Field welcoming third-placed Leeds City who were 2-1 winners at home to Brighouse Old Boys on Saturday as goals from Joe Dixon and Andrew Crossland outweighed the away effort of Luke Johnson.
