Callum Scott struck twice for the visitors who did curtail Rawdon’s scoring after turning around 8-2 down.

Eliot James Goldthorp (2), Tom McMillan, Craig Nicholls, Sam Boldy (2) and substitute James Brennan were among the goals for Rawdon, but star of the show was Lewis Nightingale who netted four times. Kirk Deighton Rangers will finish second in the standings after their 5-1 home win over East End Park means they cannot now be caught.

Josh Barden, Roman Neal, Harvey Ribbons and sub’ Ashley Tatler were on target for the hosts.

Only one game was played in the top flight, Robin Hood Athletic seeing off Headingley AFC 2-0 thanks to goals by Joseph Clulow and substitute Chris Coupe.

Beeston St Anthonys will be crowned champions as they are six points clear and cannot be caught.

It’s also pretty much ‘all over bar the shouting’ in Division 2 where Brighouse Sports will be crowned champions after their 3-1 away win over Ripon City First.

Second-placed Swillington Saints Welfare First recorded the same scoreline at Overthorpe SC First but Old Centralians First’s 2-0 win at Laund Hill FC First means that runners-up berth is still up for grabs. Tingley Athletic 1st were beaten by visiting Rothwell Juniors First, 5-2.

It’s nip and tuck at the top of Alliance Division 1 with first-and-third-placed sides Beeston St Anthony Reserves and Hall Green United Reserves potentially one game and one win from the title.

Leeds Modernians Reserves will take the Alliance Division 2 title despite second-placed Kirk Deighton Rangers still having a scheduled fixture to complete.

Mods are six points clear though neither team can be caught.
